Nugget Citra Pils
For anyone following this 2 hop series this would be homebrew #24 in this series. For me this is 24-2 as I want to see how good of an IPA we can make with just Nugget and Citra hops. This first one is just using the base malt. With hop times I think that would work. Recipe for this small batch:
2 LBS 8 oz 2-Row
.15 oz Nugget @ 60 mins
.25 oz Citra @ 10 mins
.25 oz Citra @ 5 mins
US-05 Yeast
.25 oz Citra Dry hop 3 Days
Color: Orange Yellow. With some haze
Smell: Passion fruit. Not as sweet as the Warrior version.
Tasting: Lots of juicy fruit in this one.
Overall: The citra hops are taking over in this one. I think the nugget is bring out more of the fruit vs the warrior version bring out more of the citrus
