Citra Amarillo S04

Citra and Amarillo will start off my second small batch series. In the first series I used cascade and centennial hops.

To start of this series I wanted to use S04 as I did like that homebrew using that the most in the last series. So this batch used the following:

2 LBs 8 oz 2-Row

.25 oz Citra 60 min

.25 oz Amarillo 10 min

.25 oz Citra 5 min

S04 Yeast

.25 oz Citra and Amarillo dry hop 3 days

Color: Golden Yellow. Darker than I was thinking it would be

Smell: Hint of fruit with lemon citrus. Some grain smell

Taste: Sweet fruit upfront with some citrus in the middle. Bitterness is a little high.

Overall: Good homebrew. I would like to see the bitterness turned down a little. I think b/c of the bitterness you need more malt in this as the IBUs are high.

Tasting 2

Color: Yellow haze

Smell: Juicy fruit mango. Im picking up a hint of malt

Taste: Toasted malt juicy fruit mango citrus

Overall: I think the toasted malt is overdone in this beer. Maybe using less malt would have been best.
